Cllr Martin Baker




Cllr John Duggan
John and his wife moved to Riccall 21 years ago. He works for Leeds City Council and is a full time Trade Union Convenor. He was the NYC Councilor for 12 years and was SDC Chairman in 2000-2001. He was a Riccall Parish Councilor from the late 1980’ until 1996 and then rejoined in 2005. John believes that as a community we should work together for the good of the whole community and the Parish Council is a key player in voicing the feelings and views of the village.

Cllr Keith Dawson

Is married with 2 children and has lived in the village for nineteen years. He has been a councillor since 2002. Both children attended Riccall CP School and during this time he was an active member on the governing body. Hobbies include badminton, squash, listening to music and DIY.

Cllr Ann Kilmartin

Is married and has lived in the village since 1964. Has one daughter and is Postmistress at Naburn. A member of Riccall St Leonards Hospice Support Group. Hobbies include reading, sewing and motorsport.

Cllr David Lindsay

David has lived in Riccall since 1998. He joined the council in early 2002. He and his wife run a business involved with importing, wholesaling and retailing CD’s. They also own a small property company. Despite his active community and business life he can occasionally be seen taking part in the quiz nights at the Greyhound.

Cllr Andrew Tibbett
Andrew is a Project Manager and Chartered Quantity Surveyor currently working in the Rail Industry. He has lived in Riccall with his wife Sue for nearly 4 years and joined the Parish Council 2 years ago. Andrew prefers to spend his spare time outdoors either playing golf, walking or gardening. He has a particular interest in protecting the environment with a focus on the importance of sustainable development for the future and the impact of highways issues on local village life.

Cllr Sue Tibbett
Sue is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and works as Passenger Link Manager at the national watchdog for rail passengers where she spends most of her working life talking to people on trains or waiting at railway stations. She is married to Andrew and has lived in Riccall for nearly 4 years. They have 3 grown up sons and moved to Riccall to enjoy the peace of village life. Joining the parish council seemed a good way to get more involved with local issues. She can be spotted walking the dog along Kelfield Road most days!

Cllr Howard Adamson
Howard has been a councilor for 5 years and was Chairman for 4 years. He is married with 2 children and has lived in Riccall for 16 years. Before taking early retirement he was the Regional Financial Assistance and Inward Investment Manager for Yorkshire and Humberside, at the Department of Trade and Industry. He is vice chair of governors at Riccall CP School, a director of Riccall Regen 2000 and secretary of Riccall Community archive Group.

Cllr Lily Wilson
Lily and her husband moved to Riccall 8 years ago when they both retired. She became a member of the Yorkshire Country Womans Association and 3 years ago, became Chairperson. Lily is also a member of St Marys Church and hs made many friends in the village over the last 8 years.

Brian is employed by York Health Trust as a Network Engineer. Brian has lived in the village for 5 years and has been on the Council for 2 years. Hobbies include modeling, gardening and fundraising. Brian is the Riccall Support leader for St. Leonard Hospice. He enjoys village life and especially issues surrounding the environment, recreation and conservation. Brian is also Chairman of the Carnival Committee and was a driving force behind it’s success in 2003

Edward Is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren and has lived in Riccall for almost four years. He is a Director and Trustee of the Regen Centre and is Sales & Development Manager of a Leeds company that provides retail space and interactive solutions throughout the UK and Europe.
