New £1 Million A19 Roundabout Announced |
|
News was released today that the roundabout requested by the Parish Council for the southern junction onto the A19 will now definitely go ahead. The government has released £150,000 to fund the design work and this is already underway. North Yorkshire County Council will provide a further £850,000 over the next two years to construct the roundabout. Work will begin towards the end of the 2004/5 financial year and will finish in 2005/6. The refuge planned for the northern junction onto the A19 will go ahead shortly. |
