UK Coal has won its appeal to re-use the former Riccall mine site for office and light industrial use. To download the appeal document, please click here.
Riccall Parish Council has supported the bid to re-use the site and is involved in talks with UK Coal, in an attempt to make the change over process, traffic issues, site security, tenants and potential job prospects as attractive and sympathetic to local people as possible. Riccall Parish Council is meeting representatives of UK Coal in July, with a view to setting up a meeting for all residents local to the site in September 2007.
