News Skate Park Grant

Phase 3 of the development of Riccall Recreation Ground now looks closer than ever, with the fantastic news that the Big Lottery’s Young Peoples Fund has granted Ł30,000 towards the skate area. The Recreation Development Group, a group of community led volunteers who work alongside Riccall Parish Council to improve the recreational facilities in Riccall, received news of the grant last month and are busy working towards raising another Ł10,000 so that the skate area can go ahead ASAP. It is hoped, all being well with the last stage of funding, that the skate area will be in place before the school summer holidays this year.

Once phase 3 is up and running, the group will begin raising money for Phase 4, which will see a separately fenced pre-school play area, alongside other improvement work to the Beacon, seats and facilities.
