Recently visitors from village hall committees in Flevoland, Holland visited the Regen Centre at Riccall as part of the Selby Leader Plus programme.
The project is aimed at putting together a ‘How To’ manual for Village Hall groups and managers of community buildings.
The visit enabled the visitors to see how village halls and community buildings in England are run and operated. Whilst in Selby District, they visited a number of sites: Riccall, North Duffield, Brayton, Cridling Stubbs, Eggborough and Beal. They were supported by their colleagues from various village hall committees in Selby District.
The visit included tours of the buildings and workshops aimed at developing village halls.
Whilst at Riccall the visitors were treated to a conducted tour of the Regen Centre and a short presentation on how the Centre started and its development.
