Parish Plan for Riccall |
The Parish Council is inviting residents of Riccall to take it's future into their own hands by helping prepare a Parish Plan. Parish Plans are part of a Government- sponsored initiative to help breathe new life into rural communities and help local people develop their own neighbourhoods the way that they want. The key to Parish Plans is that everyone in the community will have a say, from toddlers to the elderly. |
'This is a great opportunity for our village' says Parish Council Chairman, Howard Adamson. 'The important thing about a Parish Plan is that everyone gets a chance to contribute. When the plan is drawn up it will be there in concrete to show how we wish our village to develop and to support our applications for grants topwards the things we wish to introduce in the village'. |
The Parish Council has contacted groups in the village about joining in the Parish Plan concept and all villagers will be receiving information about a meeting on 13 October at 1930 in the Regen Centre. |
